Both your Knack Application ID (also called App ID) and API Key are available in the Settings section of the Builder. Once in the Settings section, click on API & Code and then API in the top menu:
Only use the API key for Server Side APIs
If you're developing custom javascript or a hosted knack application, please use view based requests.
