What happens if I run out of Transactions?
This article explains what Transactions are, how many are included per plan, how to purchase more, and what happens when you reach your limit in Knack Flows.
What Are Transactions?
Transactions are any Action steps that execute within a Flow. Trigger steps — the initial step that starts a Flow — do not count toward your Transaction total.
Action steps include all subsequent steps that occur after the trigger.

How Many Transactions Are Included With My Plan?
Every Knack plan includes a set number of Transactions per month:

How Do I Purchase Additional Transactions?
To purchase additional Transactions, go to your Knack Dashboard and select Plan & Billing from the left navigation menu. Add-On Transaction packs are available at the following prices:

Where Can I View My Transaction Usage?
You can track Transaction usage in two places:
Plan & Billing: The Plan & Billing section of the Knack Dashboard shows the number of Transactions used versus the total purchased.
History tab in Flows: The History tab provides detailed data and analytics for every Transaction executed on your account. You can filter by a custom date range or choose predefined options for the last 7, 30, or 90 days.
What Happens When I Reach My Transaction Limit?
When you reach your planned Transaction amount, the following occurs:
- Your Flows are stopped in real-time
- Email alerts are sent to the account owner at 50%, 75%, 90%, and 100% of your monthly Transaction limit
- Alerts may take up to 60 minutes to arrive
- If you purchase an Add-On Transaction pack after your Flows have stopped, any Flows that were halted mid-execution will automatically resume
- For any steps that were stopped mid-execution, click the "Resend Errors" button in the Flow Log to reprocess them
- If Auto-Increase is enabled, your account automatically receives an Add-On pack of 3,500 Transactions within one hour of the account owner being notified that 90% of planned Transactions have been used
