Granting Knack Support Access to Your Live App

Control whether the Knack support team can access your Live App directly, so they can help troubleshoot issues more effectively.

What you'll learn:

  • What Support Access allows the Knack support team to do
  • Why this setting is enabled by default
  • How to disable it, and what that means for support requests

What Support Access Does

The Support Access setting determines whether the Knack support team can access your Live App when helping you troubleshoot an issue. This is separate from your app's Builder — it applies specifically to the live version of your app that your users interact with.

This setting is enabled by default on non-HIPAA accounts, so support can view your Live App directly as part of investigating a case without needing extra back-and-forth to get access first.

Managing This Setting

Support Access is controlled by a single checkbox in your app's Security Settings:

  • Checked (default): The Knack support team can access your Live App to help resolve issues you report.
  • Unchecked: Support access to your Live App is turned off.

Warning: If you disable this setting, Knack support may not be able to see the issue you're experiencing firsthand, which can slow down troubleshooting or require you to provide additional information (like screenshots or screen recordings) to help them assist you.
