Knack offers a 14-day trial period that lets you explore the platform's capabilities before committing to a paid plan. This article explains how to get started with your trial and what to expect.

Creating Your Account

Starting your Knack journey is simple:

  1. Visit our signup page
  2. Provide your email address and create a password (minimum 8 characters)
  3. Or, sign up with Google Single-sign on

Note: Our 14-day trial lets you explore Knack without providing credit card information.

Trial Features and Limitations

Your trial account includes most features from the Starter Plan, allowing you to build functional applications. However, some restrictions apply:

Unavailable During Trial

  • Scheduled Tasks
  • Record History
  • IP Blocking
  • Advanced Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Email delivery (though you can set up Email Rules)

Limited Features

  • Maps & Geo-Location: Available during trial but requires Pro plan to continue
  • Imports: Maximum 10,000 records and 250MB file size
  • API Requests: 1,000 daily limit

Important: After 90 days of inactivity, trial account data becomes unrecoverable. Upgrade to a paid plan before this deadline to preserve your work.

Purchasing a Plan

When you're ready to continue using Knack after your trial:

  1. Visit the billing tab in your dashboard
  2. Choose between monthly or annual billing
  3. Select your desired plan level
  4. Enter payment information

Note: Your first charge occurs when your trial ends, followed by regular monthly or annual billing based on your selection.
